Oana Tudose

My work begins with instinct and my hands often know what I want to say before my mind does. I work with reclaimed textiles, felt, wool, thread, and drawing, letting materials guide the process as much as I do. Growing up in Romania, I learned that materials always carry the potential to become something new and this idea still shapes everything I make. My grandmother raised me around her own textile work, and that inheritance, hand to hand, generation to generation, is at the heart of my practice today. The work takes many forms: from textile paintings,to tapestries, sculptural objects, and wearable pieces.
